1/9/2023 0 Comments Beamer leinwnde test![]() ![]() To add to the magic: although the projector is so close to the canvas, it creates a large image. This eliminates the logistical problems that could put you off buying a projector. Place the projector right below the screen and nobody will block the picture when they get beer. Optoma's UHZ65UST also boasts laser technology. This means, there’s no Xenon lamp that needs to be maintained and replaced after about 3,000 operating hours. Instead, a laser – or rather several small laser diodes bundled into a beam of light – lasts for about 20,000 hours. If your projector is on 8 hours a day, that’s about seven years of use. On top of this, laser projectors are much brighter than lamp projectors. This is great in light-flooded living rooms, as a picture that’s too dark would hardly be visible. In our improvised living room in the digitec studio, the lighting conditions aren’t quite as critical. And Optoma’s UHZ65UST – I need to find a better name for this thing – doesn’t seem bulky, even though it’s almost 60 centimetres wide and 13 centimetres high. Still, with its brass feet and fabric front, it could pass as a chic soundbar, as video producer Stephi claims. ![]() Okay, this interior design isn’t Stephi’s work, it’s our improvised digitec «living room.» She has a much better understanding of interior design than I do. Speaking of soundbars: Optoma bought its audio technology years ago by taking over the company NuForce. I must say, the loudspeakers that are built into the projector provide fantastic sound. When it’s on, the projector isn’t loud – a pleasant 26 decibels, that’s as loud as the ticking of a wristwatch. LG's projector achieves the same noise level, but only in eco mode. This saves electricity, but also reduces the image quality. Optoma’s UHZ65UST is a UHD projector, but it doesn’t offer true UHD resolution. Yet, they’re allowed to call themselves UHD projectors because the DLP e-Shift Technology developed by Texas Instruments creates a kind of artificial UHD. To be precise, the image is created on a standard Full-HD DMD chip. This chip is made to vibrate so subtle and so fast that the human eye cannot perceive the vibration. Instead, it looks as if the Full HD image is multiplied four times and placed next to each other, resulting in a resolution four times higher than Full HD. If you’d like to know exactly how this e-Shift Technology works, check out this article (only available in German). The top left and top right corners are often slightly blurred with UST projectors. These slightly blurred corners were noticeable with LG's HU85LS. I'm beginning to understand what Optoma means with «perfect for recreating the big-screen experience at home», even though these marketing promises still sends shivers down my spine. Good colour management thanks to HDR and HLG supportģ500 ANSI lumens – this is how much brightness Optoma’s UST projector delivers. In comparison, LG's HU85LS achieves about 2700 ANSI lumens. With too much brightness, colours will appear faded. This is why most projectors don't (want to) produce more than 2000 ANSI lumens. However, it needs about 2000 ANSI lumen to make sure the picture is good enough in bright daylight. It really is a balancing act between too much and too little brightness. Optoma has the advantage that its projector dynamically adjusts the brightness to the ambient light. In the evening – or in a darkened living room – you don’t want a picture that’s as bright as the midday sun in the Gobi Desert south of Mongolia. #Projektor leinwand test full#ħ09 colour space (Blu-rays, Full HD content) 87% coverage of the HDR relevant DCI-P3 colour space (UHD Blu-rays, UHD contents). These values are good for a laser projector. Most laser projectors only achieve a colour space coverage of about 80-85% of the DCI-P3 colour space. The UHD Alliance awards the «Ultra HD Premium» label for a DCI-P3 coverage of 90% or more.

Therefore, the image looks smaller at 1024 x 768 pixels than at 640 x 480 pixels. Therefore, each pixel on the 800 x 600 pixels monitor is larger than each pixel displayed on the 1024 x 768 pixels monitor.Ī 100 x 100-pixel image uses about one-eighth of the screen at 800 x 600, but it takes up only about one-tenth of the screen at 1024 x 768. A monitor set to 800 x 600 pixels displays fewer pixels than a monitor set to 1024 x 768 pixels. Your screen resolution determines how large the image appears onscreen. There are several different screen resolutions you can use. For example, my monitor with a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels displays 800 pixels for the width and 600 pixels for the height. The screen resolution of a monitor is the number of pixels it can display. For example, my 32 inches Samsung monitor has display resolutions from the range of 800 x 600 up to 3840 x 2160. Large monitors typically display higher resolutions than small monitors do. The physical size of the monitor screen determines the number of available monitor resolutions. Therefore it is important to understand these differences to choose the right setting when you resize an image. The size of an image when you view it onscreen is different from its size when you print it. In this tutorial, we are going to explain the concepts of photo resizing and provide a list of sites that are offering a free photo resizing service. ![]() In addition, as camera megapixel sizes increase, image pixel sizes will also increase, so, there is a growing need to resize photos especially when it comes to writing, emailing, or uploading pictures on a website, these sizes do make a difference.Īlthough all the photo editing software, even the free one, offers a resize tool, the need for using a free and simple way to resize photos is very attractive especially to people with no editing experience. ![]() Therefore, presenting and viewing images on computers, phones, and tablets became very important, and maybe recently be the only way to handle photos. Many images only exist on the internet or on people’s hard drives. In the age of digital photography, fewer people are printing their images. 1/9/2023 0 Comments Superduper mac os xOf course you can make a direct copy or a handy clone if you want to move all your data from one computer to another, or make a simple backup. I got some cool video of all three vehicles ascending a steep and loose hill which the JKU and Power Wagon skated up with ease. Of course, a better spotter than some joker with a camera might have helped. Shawn is a very deliberate and careful driver, and he ended up taking hits to the bumper and rear quarter panel. If you aren’t OK with some body damage, probably don’t take a Power Wagon down there at all. If you aren’t into taking body damage, don’t run a Power Wagon back that way. In the video we didn’t know what was coming. Spoiler alert: We weren’t wrong, but weren’t completely right either. We were confident/hopeful this would be easier than what we had just done. The loop back to summit lake heads left right past Snake Lake, crosses the creek and starts heading up hill towards Little Deer Lake. The steep grade and sometimes traction limited road would pose a significant challenge to any 4x4 and driver. While it’s a tricky, but doable descent, the climb back up would be another matter entirely. This is supposedly the critical piece of the puzzle if you want to claim full credit for having done the Snake Lake trail. You can turn around and head back the way you came up the steep hill to Oakland Pond. Once you’re at Snake Lake there are three options to get back out. We found a nice spot on the lake to have lunch in full view of the trail coming down the mountain. So the Power Wagon made it down to Snake lake with no problems. But there are still a few challenges in the short distance left before you get to Snake Lake. After the initial descent and challenges, the trail is less insanely steep and backs off to just pretty steep. But taking it slow and having a spotter makes it challenging but doable descent. Still a bad line could result in body damage or worse. The descent is a series of steep rocky sections of road without major obstacles, beyond the steep grade, and sometime loos substrate. In fact, the distances involved in this whole trip are not that great at all, making it a great day trip. If you decide to back out here, it’s worth the short hike to get down to Snake Lake without your rig. If you’re at all apprehensive, walk the first hundred meters of so of trail. Here there is a sign for Snake Lake and the Snake Lake trail starts to head straight down the hill and things get hairy pretty quick. You won’t see that in this video.įrom Summit Lake the OHV Trail heads north through thick forest above Gold Lake without any real challenges until you arrive at Oakland Pond. If you look back at his jeep in the Prison Hill Video and the Deer Valley video you’ll see a lot of wheel lift. This is the first time I’ve seen him do that and it ended up making a pretty big difference. Brent unhooked the swaybar links on his jeep. Summit Lake is the first major intersection where you head right on a signed OHV Road, but it’s a good spot for a snack and taking care of any last minute trail prep. The trail is fairly well marked and obvious, so you can get by with a simple map, or just following turn by turn directions. Shawn mapped out the route with the Gaia GPS app, and it was easy to follow on the iPad. I’ve noticed in the past that the campground has been trashy with lots of surface poos. The campground has seen some renovation this last year and the bathrooms are a new addition. The sites have tables, fire rings and bear boxes. Soon you arrive at the Gold Lake OHV Campground which has bathrooms and a number of really nice tent camp sites. It’s a 4x4 trail, but a bold Subaru driver could do it, and any stock 4runner can do it. The first stretch of the trail just gets you down to the other end of Gold Lake and you catch awesome views of the lake through the forest. There’s still a surprise from the Jeep contingent, so stick around. Spoiler alert: The Jeep JKU is perfectly suited for this trail. We were joined by Brent, Rachel and Sam in their Modified Jeep JKU Sport. We finished the trimming and headed on down the trail with a fair bit of cautious anticipation. In fact a guy in the parking lot driving a Tacoma said he had a lot of trouble on the trail we were headed down. The battery powered saws-all also came in handy for trimming the Yakima bars short as we were anticipating some very tight trees. We were anticipating some high-clearance situations, and he wanted to trim the tail pipe back so it wouldn’t get crushed against the rear quarter panel of the Power Wagon and damage either. Before we got started on the trail of course, we aired down the tires, and Shawn took the time for a little last minute manscaping. ![]() Open up new story elements with every Early Access update. Our main issue with this blaster is in the performance. The clip holds ten shots, while the other Nerf bullets can be attached to the stock of the blaster, all within easy reach. ![]() While logically laid out, it can be tough for people with smaller hands to use. And there’s a third button to pop the clip out. You can’t fire without activating the motor. ![]() ![]() In terms of firing, you have one trigger to start the motor, which kicks in with quite a noisy whirr, and a trigger for firing the darts. The compartment for these is subtly integrated, so much so that we struggled to find it at first. The blaster itself is relatively heavy, though, and it requires batteries. You’re literally firing Nerf bullets out of a dinosaur’s mouth. Bright green and red colors mix with a combination of ‘realistic’ gun features and fantastical T-rex elements. While perhaps not as impactful as one of the replica Nerfs from the Fortnite or Halo ranges, it has a design that will appeal to kids. You can also check out our Nerf gun deals page for great savings on some of the other top Nerf blasters out there. On the plus side, the Rex-Rampage blaster certainly looks cool. The downside is that it’s pretty expensive, and tougher to get hold of – currently on Amazon for $130+ (opens in new tab) via third-party sellers! It looks amazing, performs well, and is surprisingly faithful to the in-game weapon. If you’re looking for something stylish that performs well too, it’s got to be the Halo MA40 motorized model. It’s big-bucks at $95, though (opens in new tab). It’s powerful, has an excellent firing distance, and a clip that’s far less likely to fail than the DinoSquad Rex-Rampage model. If you want a good, solid motorized blaster, then the Nerf Ultra One is probably your most solid choice. It’s heavy, noisy, and more complex to use, which aren’t deal-breakers in themselves, but they all add to the frustration of constant jams and reloads. When it does perform, it’s powerful and satisfying – exactly how a Nerf rifle should behave. A Nerf blaster can look as fun as it likes – if it doesn’t work properly, there’s really no point buying it. Yes, it looks cool, and only clocks in at just over $30, but the jamming makes it incredibly frustrating to use. We can’t, in all good faith, recommend that you buy the DinoSquad Rex-Rampage. Should you buy the DinoSquad Rex-Rampage? The noise of the motor means you’re unlikely to sneak up on people, but that’s less of an issue than the jams, which will leave your Nerf sessions a frustrated mess of stops, unclogging, and reloads. Once you get a rhythm, the fire rate is good and there’s a pleasing thud when each bullet leaves the nozzle of the gun. It can happily launch bullets over a good distance – we estimate up to 60ft – and with a good pace. It’s a shame, because when the Rex-Rampage works properly, it performs well. So, when you insert it into the main blaster, the bullets likely pop up too early, and don’t align properly with the trigger. We noticed that our clip didn’t hold the bullets particularly well, and they would frequently pop out of the top – yes, even when the clip isn’t over-filled. The problem is caused by an imperfect interaction between the clip and the trigger. Pretty much every time we load the blaster, at least one of the foam bullets jam, which either means popping the clip fully and digging around inside the chamber with your fingers, or trying to force it through the motorized mechanism for a weaker shot.
